Distance: 32.5mi // Climb: 2,250’. Meet up at the Historic Arcade & Attica Depot in downtown Arcade, where you’ll be able to load your bike directly onto the train for a scenic ride down the A&A line. We’ll stop at Curriers’ train station for about an hour – so pack a hearty lunch and your favorite camp stove to brew up some coffee and a treat. Small snacks and a bathroom will be available in the station. From Curriers’, we’ll ride the train to North Java, where we’ll unload our bicycles at the end of the line. Then begins our scenic ride through the small historic hamlets and incredible creek gorges leading us back to Arcade. If you’d like to skip the bike ride, tickets are available for people just riding the train back for 25$. Help us highlight the diversity of birdlife in the Genesee Valley. Gather a team of friends or work alone to count as many birds as possible within the Genesee River Watershed in just 24 hours. Travel anywhere you’d like; birders may visit any public space within the Genesee River Watershed. All are welcome — whether you are a beginner or a pro! A final tally and potluck celebration will be held at the Genesee County Park & Forest Interpretive Center at 6pm on Saturday, May 18.
